Housing in the City

In ARCH402, the third studio in the undergraduate sequence, the second half of the semester is focused on housing.  After a detailed housing precedent study, students visited the project site at 1413 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20005.  Located at the southeast corner at 14th and P, the site provides an opportunity for students to explore the questions related to dwelling in a city.  Through this multi-family project for the formerly homeless, students are focused on developing the project at all scales - from overall building organization and promenade to the individual units.
