Improving Local Government Capacity for Watershed Planning and Implementation Efforts: Sassafras Watershed Action Plan

Prepared for the Sassafras River Association (SRA), this report is a strategic plan for restoring and protecting the Sassafras watershed.  In this report, the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) proposes a set of financing recommendations for three different priority areas identified by the SRA: wastewater treatment plant upgrades for the towns of Galena and Betterton, the repair or replacement of community septic systems in the Sassafras watershed, and stormwater management for severely degraded runoff sites along Route 301.
