Integrating Water Quality Improvement with Hazard Mitigation in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle

EFC is working with local decision makers and staff in Berkeley, Morgan, and Jefferson Counties and municipalities to identify opportunities where natural infrastructure approaches can simultaneously deliver meaningful water quality improvements and responses to hazard mitigation, flood management, and source water protection needs. EFC is utilizing a blended learning cohort model to expand the capacity of local decision makers and staff to take action on water quality improvements and hazard mitigation needs in a more coordinated way that creates efficiencies and reduces implementation costs.
