Biography

I enjoy work that is creatively challenging and I approach each design problem as a game, and that is what challenges me,...the search for that "sweet spot" solution for a design problem that also conveys a sense of artistic composition.

My years as a design educator has let me work with hundreds of students instilling the importance of design exploration and the filtering of temporary design trends.

Raised in the military, my family and I enjoyed the opportunity to experience a vast range of architecture and social influences while growing up across the United States. My travel and international friendships have introduced me to an array of social design opportunities which has helped developed my interest in rapid install shelters and simplified construction design. Like many of my design colleagues, I am trying to help provide thoughtful, social and environmentally sensitive design for all.
