Research

Wendy Nevett Bazil is a doctoral student the Urban and Regional Planning and Design Program. She is a licensed attorney, avid reader, history buff, vegetable whisperer, and in addition to law, formerly worked as a cooking teacher and recipe developer, and in food systems policy and advocacy. In addition, she helped raise two amazing humans whom she loves and admires.

Her ongoing research looks at historical and ongoing inequities at the intersection of zoning and land use, agriculture, and smart growth, and looks for ways to repair this system, both academically and on the ground. 

Research Interests/Specializations:

Land Use and Zoning, Equity, Agricultural Land Justice, Food Systems, Growth Management/Smart Growth, Scholar-Advocacy.
