Sarah Hoffman
Hello, my name is Sarah Hoffman, and I am a current Master of Community Planning student at the University of Maryland. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminology at The Ohio State University. Prior to community planning, I participated in three AmeriCorps service programs, where I had the opportunity to support elementary and middle school students in different cities as a mentor and a teacher. Along with my graduate studies, I also work in various farmer’s markets in D.C. selling fresh produce and assistant-teach food education courses to elementary school students in D.C. I have a passion for working with youth and engaging with them in meaningful conversations about the environment, their communities, and healthy eating. My interests include youth engagement, public education, food systems, and urban agriculture.
