MRED Graduate Student Khaleef Bradford has been named an inaugural Todd A. Lee Scholarship recipient by the D.C. Housing Finance Agency. Khaleef is one of three outstanding graduate students to receive the honor, which seeks to support students pursuing careers in the affordable housing field. The scholarship was established in honor of Todd A. Lee, former executive director and CEO of the DC Housing Finance Agency, an industry leader who made significant impacts on the landscape of affordable housing in Washington, D.C.

“I am ecstatic that Khaleef is the recipient of this scholarship,” says Maria Day-Marshall, Director of the University of Maryland Real Estate Development Program.  “I knew and worked with Todd Lee at the DC Housing Finance Agency and at Fannie Mae, and personally experienced his commitment to affordable housing and education.  It is an honor for Khaleef to receive this scholarship in Todd’s name.”

The DC Housing Finance Agency has served Washington, D.C. residents for more than 40 years.  The Agency’s mission is to advance the District of Columbia’s housing priorities; the Agency invests in affordable housing and neighborhood development, which provides pathways for D.C. residents to transform their lives.
