Emma Chang, AIA, design director and principal at Gensler Bejing was awarded 2019 China Designer of the Year at this year’s China Design Annual Conference on August 29, 2020. The award is the only official design award bestowed by the Chinese government.

Emma Chang is more than just a talented designer, she is a well-rounded leader with a global perspective.

“I’ve had the good fortune to work closely with Emma on projects and firmwide initiatives over the years and have constantly been impressed by her poise, perspective and vision,” said Jordan Goldstein, Gensler principal & global director of design.

Chang has over 15 years of architecture and planning experience, specializing in holistically designed workplaces and public spaces, corporate campuses and commercial office buildings. She was instrumental in establishing Gensler’s presence in China.
