Alumna Martiena Schneller Named a 40 Under 40 by Washington Business Journal

Martiena Schneller (M.ARCH ‘08), vice president of design at Washington, D.C.-based Hoffman & Associates, has been named to Washington Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list for 2021, which recognizes stand-out business owners, CEOs, nonprofit executives, attorneys and other corporate leaders in the Washington region.

With a background in architecture and urban planning, Schneller is behind several notable projects in the Washington, D.C. area for Hoffman & Associates, most notably the city’s newest music venue The Anthem and a number of residential projects in Bethesda and the District. She is currently overseeing phase two of The Wharf, a $2.5 billion Washington, D.C. waterfront neighborhood. At Maryland, she was a member of the 2007 U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Team; their entry, LEAFHouse, took second place in the international competition.
