AIM Associate Director of Research & Associate Professor in the College of Information
Smart Cities Initiative, Spring 2025 Roundtable Dr. Erete will provide an overview of AIM, the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland. Established April 2024, AIM is developing the next generation of artificial intelligence education, technology and leaders through interdisciplinary research that focuses on the responsible and ethical use of AI. The inaugural AIM research seed award program round (closed 2/17/2025) included a funding track for Community-Based Grants to support AI projects that prioritize and engage with Maryland-area communities.
