Jill Bond
Director of Strategic Foundation Relations, UMD
This presentation will provide an introduction to Foundations and how their research funding strategies help them achieve their core missions.
Director of Strategic Foundation Relations for Research Initiatives Jill Bond joined the Division of Research in fall 2023. In this role she designs university-wide engagement strategies and secures funding from private foundations for institutional priorities. She works closely with the Division of University Relations to maximize philanthropic support.
Jill has twenty years of experience in higher education. Prior to UMD, Jill worked at Rutgers University where she launched a targeted foundation relations program, increasing funding by fifty percent over four years. She has also served in similar capacities at both the University of Texas at Austin and George Washington University. She graduated from Colby College with a degree in Government.
