On October 30th, we will have two events in conjunction with the 30 X 30 Exhibit:

  • 12:30pm — Lunchtime talk
Sponsored by Diversity & Inclusion Committee

  •   5:00pm — Lecture
"30x30 The International Archive of Women in Architecture: A New Vision"

Profs. Paola Zellner Basset and Donna Dunay of Virginia Tech will discuss the exhibition’s design and content.

Finding pioneering women in architecture is critical to the future’s understanding of the past.   The multimedia exhibit  30X30: Expanding the Legacy  celebrates the first 30 years of the International Archive of Women in Architecture (IAWA)  by showcasing the work of thirty  women from the archives. Supporting the goal  to increase the awareness and record the formative history of women in architecture, the exhibit maps the range of the archive, offers a preview of the treasures within, and reminds  us of the urgency of saving collections otherwise too easily lost to time.
