The Office of Government Relations promotes UMD's research, education, and public service activities by working with government members, committee staff, and agencies to increase federal and state support for our mission.  They are pivotal in disseminating knowledge of the university, research and educational strengths, and their impact on state and national priorities.

Virginia Meehan and Ross Stern will join us at MAPP on April 26 to provide a one-hour seminar with Q&A on:

  • How the office collaborates with researchers/practitioners, including past examples of support
  • State level opportunities per the Moore administration's priorities and directions
  • Federal level opportunities - for example, NSF increased funding through CHIPS
