The Student Planning Association will be sponsoring a boat tour of the Anacostia River next Friday September 30 from 5 -6 pm. It will be a guided tour led by the Anacostia Riverkeepers where we will explore the Anacostia River’s history, wildlife, environmental threats it faces, and solutions helping it realize its full potential.
We will be leaving from the Yards Marina dock, which is close to District Winery and a few minutes walk from the Navy Yard metro stop. You are welcome to invite partners/friends but the seating is capped at 15 people so it's first come first serve. Please email Elizabeth Mekonnen at emekonne@umd.edu if you want to attend.
Please let Elizabeth Mekonnen know if you are bringing anyone else, as all attendees will be asked to sign a Mandatory Liability Waiver and Covid Questionnaire.
