Colvin Fall Lecture

The Colvin Institute's Fall Lecture Series, The Future of Retail, will take place on October 9th. SiteWorks' President, Nick Egelanian, will present publicly available data points to argue that Amazon is not killing retail, and it is also not anywhere close to becoming a dominant player in the grocery industry.

Considered a leading expert on retail and the shopping center industry, Nick Egelanian pioneered the segmentation of retail into Commodity & Specialty sub-groups as the author of the retail chapter of the Urban Land Institute’s Professional Real Estate Development: The ULI Guide to the Business, 3rd Edition in 2012. Egelanian served as VP of Real Estate and New Store Development for Crown Books and FAO Inc/Zany Brainy before forming SiteWorks Retail Real Estate Services in 1992. As President of SiteWorks, Egelanian has worked with retail clients and advises owners and developers throughout North America. He is also an adjunct professor for the Master in Real Estate Development Degree (MRED) at the University of Maryland.
