Integrating collective processes in urban environmental planning is crucial for fostering resilient and sustainable urban systems. This lecture explores the multifaceted role of collectivity in the design and implementation of urban-environment projects and their social appropriation. By emphasizing community resilience as the foundation for systematic planning processes collective action and shared knowledge can drive more adaptive and inclusive urban development. Visualization and mapping techniques can harness collective data, allowing for more informed decision-making and participatory planning. These approaches not only enhance the transparency and accessibility of integrated planning processes but also empower communities to co-create their environments, ensuring that urban spaces are both resilient and reflective of the needs and aspirations of diverse, and sometimes opposing views and stakeholders.
