As managing principal at Fivesquares Development, a real estate development company based in Washington D.C., Andy Altman leads the urban and transit-oriented portfolio of over one million square feet of development.

Andy served as the Chief Executive of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, which was responsible for transforming the 500-acre London 2012 Olympic Park—the largest regeneration project in the United Kingdom—into a new international growth center for London. He was responsible for master planning, conversion of sports and broadcasting facilities into commercial uses and the attraction of over $2 billion of private investment.

Andy has deep, practical experience in implementing large-scale urban development projects in both the public and private sectors. In addition, he brings access to national and international practices and networks of leading urban development professionals through his roles as Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution Center on Metropolitan Policy and at the London School of Economics Center for Cities.
