Housed in the University of Maryland’s Study Centre at Kiplin Hall, the ancestral home of the founders of Maryland, this semester-long program allows the student to research, experience and analyze the culture of the United Kingdom through the study of its cities, villages, landscapes, and architecture.
This 16-week, 12 to 13-credit study abroad program offers three or four courses: ARCH 428B –British Architecture, Urbanism, and Landscape, a history seminar; ARCH 403/407 –Architectural Design at the appropriate level required of each student; ARCH 413 –Architectural Technology; and ARCH 460 –Site Analysis.
