Biography

Ingrid Farrell came to the University of Maryland, College Park campus from The George Washington University where she served in management in the areas of budget and human resources. Since arriving at the University of Maryland in 2000, she served as Assistant Dean for Finance and Personnel in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences for approximately 6 years. Currently she serves as the Assistant Dean for Internal Affairs and Budget in the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.

Ingrid enjoys interacting with all levels of faculty, staff and students. She also enjoys helping to bring resolution to problems no matter how daunting they may appear to supervisors and employees. She firmly believes that listening to others and being honest and confidential in all matters are vital to creating an effective work environment. She derives great satisfaction from leading the Staff Support Team at the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and she takes great pride in providing superior service to all of the school's clients.
