Leland Edgecombe is a registered architect, a registered landscape architect, certified planner and an accredited member of the Congress for New Urbanism. He is a graduate of the Howard University School of Architecture (undergraduate) and a dual degree recipient from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate Urban Design Program to include a Masters of Architecture degree and a Masters of City Planning degree. He is the Owner of The Edgecombe Group, Inc., a multi-disciplinary design firm located in the Washington, D.C. area focusing on architectural, landscape architectural, urban design, city planning and historic preservation services in multiple regions from New York City to Miami, Florida. His work involves a diverse mixture of clientele to include Federal, State, County and Municipal governments as well as real estate developers. Prior to teaching at the University of Maryland, Mr. Edgecombe has taught in the Graduate Urban Planning Programs at Rutgers University, The Catholic University of America and The Ohio State University.
