2000 - Isidro Fabela, Mexico

The goal of this research is to describe and understand the commercial functioning of a neighborhood - a colonia - in Mexico City outside of its major commercial and visitor centers. Drawing upon this understanding, the research team explores the planning implications for Mexico as well as in immigrant - predominant neighborhoods in the United States. The work relects a collaborative effort between the Urban Studies and Planning Program and the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.
