Financial aid in the form of teaching and research assistantships is awarded to a limited number of applicants with outstanding credentials. Compensation for assistantships includes tuition remission for up to ten credit hours per semester, plus a stipend. In addition, graduate assistants are eligible to be charged at the in-state tuition rate for the semesters in which they have a GA or TA position.

Bell Architects Graduate Assistantship
This graduate research assistantship is generously funded by Bell Architects, a Washington, DC, firm specializing in urban sites, sustainable design, historic preservation and adaptive reuse, to support a student who is combining interests and strengths in architecture and historic preservation. The assistantship is open to students in the M.H.P. and M.Arch. degree programs. Students will work their assistantship hours in the offices of the firm, gaining invaluable experience in practice.
