Each semester students switch in and out of majors in the academic units on campus. Should you decide that Architecture is no longer the major you would like to pursue, or find yourself needing to switch majors after the Review Process, below are helpful tips for making that transition as easy as possible.
The Career Center offers some preliminary information on choosing a major. You can also make an appointment with a counselor for more specific information. The Counseling Center also offers assistance through career counseling. Letters & Sciences is for undergraduates not enrolled in a degree-granting major. It is dedicated to providing the best possible advising to its students and offers extensive and consistent advising, especially in relation to general education opportunities and requirements, aid students who are unable to participate in a limited enrollment program with the examination of new areas of study and assists students to explore actively all of the majors and opportunities here at the University of Maryland, College Park.
