Tanya Bansal is currently the Assistant Director/Clinical Assistant Professor for the Programs in Real Estate Development at the University of Maryland. She came from India with an undergrad in architecture, and two years of work experience in the industry. Tanya earned her Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Maryland in 2014, upon completing a capstone project on developing a parcel of land in Wheaton into a mixed-use apartment building, under the mentorship of Mr. James Agliata, Vice President for Development, Westfield, LLC. The combination of her architectural skills and real estate knowledge awarded her third prize for the best project and presentation. Tanya has worked with well-known architectural companies in India, and had the opportunity of interning with The Rappaport Companies, a well-known retail developer in the DC metro area and the Alex Brown Realty, an investment company based in Baltimore during her graduate real estate program. Ms. Bansal serves as an Assistant Editor of the Real Estate Review.
