Architecture Alumni Association

Become involved with the University Maryland Alumni Association and, in particular, the MAPP+D Alumni Chapter. It is a great way to feel connected to the school and give back to the university that played such an important part in your life. Because we are a small school within a large university there are many opportunities to make a difference for the alumni and students of the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.

You, as an alumnus, can reconnect in a variety of ways, from by being a mentor for a student, returning as a visiting critic on a review or being a guest speaker, to name a few. We are also looking for class representatives from each year (both undergraduate and graduate classes) to help keep our alumni informed and connected with the school. If you would like to help out in any way, please send a note to mappalum@umd.edu.

Our graduates are practicing all over the world and in all different sectors of their chosen professions. The school's annual Architecture, Planning, Preservation and Real Estate Development Career and Internship Fair helps to connect alumni from firms and companies all over the East Coast with our current students and recent alumni. If you would like more information on representing your firm at the career fair or attending the career fair, please contact our Career Services Office. To reach the University of Maryland Career Services center visit www.careercenter.umd.edu .

Urban Studies and Planning Alumni Association

Welcome to the Alumni Association of the Urban Studies and Planning Program!

Our University of Maryland colleagues are valuable resources in our planning community. By staying in touch, we can help each other as we progress in our careers. The Alumni Association of the Urban Studies and Planning Program (Association) is dedicated to strengthening communications, and encouraging active involvement with the students and faculty of the Urban Studies and Planning Program. Your participation in this effort is essential to improve our network of alumni around the country.

The Association assists the Urban Sudies and Planning program in activities such as student recruitment, mentoring and career workshops. It is also the Association's goal to encourage and facilitate alumni networking by coordinating social activities in the Washington-Baltimore region, including happy hours and UMD sporting events. You are encouraged to help organize an event, volunteer to be a mentor or get involved in any way you can.

Please browse this web site to learn more about faculty and student accomplishments and new features of the Urban Studies and Planning program. Be sure to visit the class notes, professional development and gift opportunities pages.

We invite all URSP alumni to please e-mail Alexander Chen, if you would like to participate, or just to give us an update on your lifetime progress. The Association is currently looking for members of each graduating class to assist. Let us know if you can help.
