Zuxuan is a research assistant at the National Center for Smart Growth. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, Master of Science degrees from University of Connecticut and Columbia University. Before joining the Ph.D. program of Urban and Regional Planning at University of Maryland, he worked for HDR and Arup, both engineering consulting firms in New York City, for more than eight years. He has extensive experience in transportation system modeling, traffic study, signal optimization and roadway design. His research interests include Travel Demand Modeling and Forecasting, Transportation Planning and Policy Analysis, Econometric and Statistical Modeling Methodologies.
