Our Faculty works individually with graduates to place them in academic institutions, government, and private consulting firms. Our placement rate is impressive. Since the start of the URPD program, we have placed graduates at the University of Illinois, Portland State, the University of Florida, Mary Washington College and well as overseas at Hong Kong University, Vietnam National University, and Bogazici University in Turkey. Examples of government and private consulting firms include the American Associate of Retired People and Noblis Corporation.

Through University fellowships and research assistantships with the National Center for Smart Growth, the U.S. Economic Development Administration University Center, and faculty research projects, we try to fund all of our full-time Ph.D. students.  Fellowships and Graduate Assistantship compensation includes tuition remission for up to 10 credit hours per semester, plus a stipend. You must submit an application before you are considered for financial support.
