Mary Konsoulis teaches in both the Historic Preservation and Real Estate Development Programs. Her courses in preservation focus on its use as a tool to guide growth and change and include a graduate studio and a course in adaptive reuse. For the Real Estate Development Program, Ms. Konsoulis teaches a capstone seminar for real estate students in their final year of graduate work and a course on planning policy and practice for developers. She serves as a senior editor of the Real Estate Review, a Thomson Reuters/West publication produced by the School's Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development. She is also a writer and maintains a consulting practice.
Ms. Konsoulis worked for a number of years as an urban planner with the architecture firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. She was also a staff curator at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, focusing on exhibitions related to urban planning and urban design.
