A real estate and environmental lawyer, Mr. Lashley has 33 years of experience in commercial litigation, sustainable development, complex land use, permitting and redeployment of environmentally impaired real estate. He has handled major permit application issues on waterfront revitalization, brownfield redevelopment and mining reclamation projects. He has negotiated approval of wetland, stream and nutrient mitigation bank projects with the EPA and the USACOE as well as numerous State, County and Municipal environmental resource agencies. Lashley has also formulated innovative eco asset development strategies for solving multi stakeholder interests in reuse of land.
Lashley has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina with a focus on environmental economics and has lectured at the Environmental Law Institute, The Department of Energy National Environmental Training Institute and the Vanderbilt School of Public Policy.
Lashley founded GreenVest, a land re-developer, in 1998 and since then has helped lead a national charge to balance economic objectives with enhanced environmental performance.
