PhD Student Wins Transportation Scholarship

Carolina BurnierThe Washington, DC chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) awarded its 2008 Graduate Scholarship Award to Carolina Burnier. Burnier is a PhD student in Urban and Regional Planning and Design at the University of Maryland.

The WTS-DC Graduate Scholarship is an annual, nationally-competitive award for women studying transportation planning at the graduate level. The $2,000 award is supplemented by a one-year membership in WTS International and the WTS-DC Chapter.

Associate Professor Kelly Clifton is Burnier's advisor.
