LEAFHouse Wins at Solar Decathlon 2007

COLLEGE PARK, MD-- Two years in the making, the University of Maryland's LEAFHouse wins the BP Solar People's Choice Award and places 2nd overall in the Solar Decathlon 2007.  In additional to these top honors, the UM team took first place in the lighting, energy balance and communications contests and second place in the architecture, lighting (overall) and market viability portions of the decathlon.  Click here to see the final scores.

LEAFHouse was designed, built and marketed by UM students from several disciplines including architecture, engineering, communications, computer science, economics, English, chemistry and biochemistry, business and landscape architecture.  Visit the LEAFHouse website to learn more about this exciting project
