Join us as we welcome Michael Marshall, AIA, NOMA, NCARB. Michael Marshall is the Design Director and Principal of Marshall Moya Design.

 

Michael leads each project in design excellence and manages every stage of the firm’s architectural projects with a keen sensitivity to the context and environment. He monitors the construction development process at project sites and cultivates business opportunities with new clients. His creative design sense and artistic perspectives are integrated into each of the firm’s projects. He manages the firm’s architectural projects with a keen sensitivity to context and environment and leads each project in design excellence.

 

In a career that spans almost three decades, Marshall has completed commissions on a wide range of building types including commercial, corporate, cultural and urban design, as well as mixed-use developments. His skills have facilitated numerous successful partnerships with developers, architects, governmental agencies, and private companies. Marshall has designed a number of iconic projects throughout the District of Columbia, including The Howard Theatre, The University of the District of Columbia’s new Student Center, Chuck Brown Memorial, a number of the city’s public schools, and the urban destinations City Vista and Reunion Square. Most recently, Marshall Moya Design has been selected to design the new DC United Stadium and the Entertainment and Sports Arena (which will serve as the practice facility for the Washington Wizards and home court for the Washington Mystics).

 

Marshall volunteers part of his time presenting lectures on architecture and design, serving as a guest architectural critic at numerous local universities, and sharing his architectural expertise on local community advisory and city planning boards in the Washington, D.C. area.
