In this exhibit, curated by Garth Rockcastle, the creative work shares an enthusiasm for, and commitment to, discovering and reawakening neglected, underutilized, marginalized, derelict, or even ruined structures, landscapes, and urban contexts, through insightful, constructive and creative engagement. These engagements take the form of new interventions, additions, and/or adaptive reuse. The best results of this regeneration and renewal are realized through sensitive and adventuresome design, in the service of often boldly envisioned repurposing, and a confident investment of new resources. Despite the rapid growth of adaptive reuse work around the world, there remains much neglected ground to attend to.
