Paul H. Kea, one of the first two licensed architects in Maryland, and his wife Grace established the Kea Distinguished Professorship in Architecture in 1967. This professorship has played an important part in the life of the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation by recognizing eminent practitioners and scholars. Kea Professors have served as critics and lecturers in the Architecture Program. They bring unique perspectives from practice and/or academia that embellish the academic experiences of students and faculty colleagues.
